The Silent Struggle: Postpartum Depression in African American Women

"It’s not the load that breaks you down, it’s the way you carry it." – Lena Horne

In honor of Minority Mental health month, I am sharing my story. There are many women of color who struggle with maternal mental health issues alone. People tell them to just give it time, that it is a normal burden that they must carry, or that they just aren’t praying enough. I share just a little bit of my story to say, ladies you are not alone and that things can get better with help. The video is only 10 mins long. So find a few minutes to look at my video and let’s chat about it. Also if you haven’t already done so, go over to www.ThrivingwithBaby.com and subscribe to our list to download our free Family Mission Statement Workbook. Until next time, take care and keep thriving!
